For once I am going to say that these last two weeks have DRAGGED and sucked.
I officially hit the part of pregnancy where I just want to lay in bed all day with snacks.
With Elena I worked and was always on the go so I didn't think about food as much
but man do I have snacks on the mind and so hard to say no this time around.
Thank god we don't have much junk food in the house.
I am not sure if I already explained this but at my first ultrasound they declared my due date as 05.31.15
I kinda freaked out at first because the baby was way behind but at my second ultrasound they said
his growth set him at a due date of 05.26.15 but they wouldn't change my due date on their papers
because the two dates were within a week of each other.
I have been going by the due date of 05.26.15 because this is the date my last period gives me also.
By this date I will be 27 weeks TOMORROW.
But I figured since I slacked and forgot to do my bump board this past week I would make this my
26 week and just do my 27 later on this week maybe Friday to catch up.
On that note, Let's get to my 26 WEEK BUMP BOARD!
This weeks developments for baby: The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air.
And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles should soon begin to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three months.
This weeks changes for mom: Get ready to kiss your petite little belly goodbye soon (if you haven't already) -- your uterus is growing big-time! It is now about the size of a soccer ball. As your uterus continues to expand upward -- the top is nearly midway between your breasts and belly button now -- your middle will grow longer and wider. Makes sense; your baby's going to be pushing past the two-pound mark in no time at all, and you've gotta make room for him in there.
Starting weight 120 pounds - Starting waist measurement 31.5 inches.
133lbs & 38 inches
WEIGHT: +13 pounds
WAIST: 38 inches (+6.5 inches)
Highlights and Lowlights of my Pregnancy Week 26:
- Baby boy moves a ton and reassures mom he's okay.
- I have had no bleeding and loss of mucus plug has slowed!
- Baby boy had a strong heartbeat and is growing fast!
- Round ligament pains especially in my lower stomach.
- Pelvis and hip pain so bad it hurts to stand up after laying down.
- Still fighting sinuses ): My nose is so dry and I have constant migraines.
- I want to eat everything in sight.
- I am having issues sleeping at night. Last night I took two baths within 5 hours.
- RESTLESS LEGS! I did not miss this at all. UGH these boy pregnancies kick my butt.
- I have been having issues with the lump in my right breast again. I go Friday for them to look at it and figure out what they want to do now that it is the size of a baseball.
Stretch marks: No new ones yet! Kinda feel like I will get some new ones though because my butt is MAXED out and he is lower than my last two babies.
Belly button in or out: It is an innie outtie! I have never had it pop out for any of my pregnancies. But I do notice that he is very low and pushes my belly button up higher. *still the same* (:
Sleep: I am so sleepy during the day but wide awake at night.
Movement: Tons of movement he can now shake around my whole tummy.
Cravings: This week I ate a lot of fruit snacks and drank a lot of water.
Looking forward to: Being a week closer to meeting our little man and getting the lump in my breast taken care of.
Appointment with my midwife beginning of Feb then we have biweekly appointments!
